GLUE Studio makes a splash at Hammersmith & Fulham business event
LONDON, 12 April 2019 – Local businesses are the lifeblood of the community. That was the message conveyed by the organisers of the Hammersmith & Fulham Means Business which was held on 3 April 2019.
The event, supported by the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, saw 47 businesses and local organisations, including GLUE Studio, exhibiting at the Hammersmith Town Hall.
The event was open to the public, in particular to residents and businesses within the borough. Individuals and sole traders visiting the fair were offered the opportunity to attend talks, have 1-2-1 sessions with entrepreneurs and develop new businesses with the exhibitors.
Exhibitors came from various sectors such as professional services, media and communications, sports and leisure, health services, retail and NGOs. GLUE Studio had the opportunity to network and develop partnerships with businesses from these sectors – and the results have been encouraging.
According to Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for the Economy and the Arts, H&F Means Businesses is one of the many ways the councillors are trying to help local businesses to start, thrive and grow. Aware of the damage that Brexit imposes on businesses, he said the event forms part of the borough’s “new Industrial Strategy”, in partnership with Imperial College London, to deliver sustained economic growth that benefits everyone.
